The Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 situation has disrupted all of our lives in many ways. As well as imposing a range of restrictions on our personal lives, for many of us, our business’ have also taken a hit.
At Digital Surfer, we’ve had to adapt and restructure the way we offer services to our clients when they need to promote their business the most. Our goal is to make sure that the team at Digital Surfer is here to help and support your business through this time.

Is Digital Surfer still operating during the shutdown?
Yes, we are. We’re extremely lucky that due to the nature of our work, we’re still able to work in conjunction with each other and connect with our clients, though we may not all be in the same place.
It goes without saying that we’re taking extra care during this time, with those in the office observing more than the recommended social distancing measures. Cleaning everything rigorously with antibacterial solutions has also become commonplace to help ensure nothing can linger on any of the surfaces.
Several of our team members are currently also working from home and linking up via video call or phone, and client meetings are now done via Zoom or phone where possible, and when not possible, we ensure social distancing guidelines are followed.
More than anything, we aim to make sure that our services to you continue with minimal disruption, while maintaining the health and safety of both our staff and clients.
Why should I continue marketing right now?
We understand that when you look at pruning your budget, marketing may not seem like the most necessary expense.
That being said, this is a decision that needs to be made by looking 6-12 months into the future. If you stop your marketing now, while everyone else keeps going, you will fall far behind your competitors. Then, when things ‘get better’ and you decide to start marketing again, it will be even harder to keep up with those who didn’t stop, and it may take another 3-6 months after you restart your marketing before you see any significant increase in calls or bookings.
By continuing your marketing while business is slow, you will ensure that your business is right there in the prime position to be found again when people start looking, and virtually eliminate that 3-6 month downtime where you would be waiting to gain traction.
How can Digital Surfer help my business during COVID-19?
Even though our team is working remotely, we still have the full capabilities to be able to offer a targeted service for your business.

The approach will depend on your individual business, but the work is definitely there to be done. We’ve written a bit more about the kind of strategies you can use in our blog Why Continuing Digital Marketing is Essential in Times of Uncertainty.
Whatever you decide to do with your marketing, at Digital Surfer, we’re here to offer advice and support. Our clients are quite often our friends, and we consider your business as important to us as our own. Above all else, we hope you stay healthy and stay safe.
