Dredge Robotics is a niche industrial robotics company offering non-entry dredging solutions for lined ponds, tanks, and hazardous liquid assets. Their services are designed for critical industries like mining, energy, and wastewater, where even a single project starts from over $500,000.

Despite their technical capabilities, their digital presence wasn’t attracting the right clientele. Their site was drawing in low quality leads mainly residential or small scale inquiries through broad keywords like “pond cleaning.”
Dredge Robotics needed to reposition their online presence to attract the right decision makers from mining & other industrial industries while filtering out irrelevant traffic. We partnered with them to tackle three clear goals:

The Challenges
This campaign was unique in its complexity. First, the service offering was so niche that many ideal keywords had zero recorded monthly search volume.
Traditional SEO strategies often overlook these terms, but we knew they represented the precise intent Dredge Robotics needed to tap into. Second, the team was cautious about sharing too much detail about their robotics technology due to its proprietary nature. We had to walk a fine line between being informative and protecting intellectual property.
Adding to the challenge was the broad keyword overlap with consumer services like general pond or residential tank cleaning which resulted in wasted traffic and unqualified leads. Our mission was to rebuild their digital ecosystem from the ground up to speak directly to engineers, asset managers, and heavy industry stakeholders.

The new site was structured around core industrial applications, lined ponds, tanks, and cooling towers designed to clearly explain the non entry method, how it protects critical infrastructure, and what outcomes industrial clients can expect. The goal was to create a self qualifying user experience that spoke directly to the pain points of industrial asset managers.
Zero Volume Keyword SEO:
We targeted long tail, low search volume phrases like “mine site dredging” and “industrial tank desilting,” knowing that even a few highly qualified visits could result in million-dollar projects. Content was structured for both user readability and AI search engine clarity, including key inforamtion sections and FAQs.
Niche Focused PR & Link Building:
Collaborated with the client to land placements in industry relevant publications like Mining Australia, boosting both domain authority and brand credibility.
Tightly Controlled Paid Ads Campaigns:
We launched Google Ads campaigns using exact match keywords with industrial buyer intent, combined with deep negative keyword lists to exclude residential searches. Audience layering further filtered traffic to only reach relevant B2B decision-makers.
Conversion Tracking & Lead Filtering:
A call tracking number was implemented to monitor paid conversions, and lead quality was assessed via CRM disqualification tracking allowing us to refine targeting and better understand the sales pipeline by channel.

The Results
While the campaign didn’t drive massive traffic volumes (nor was that the goal), it achieved what mattered most qualified industrial leads that convert.
From June 2024 to August 2025, organic sessions increased from 188 to 313, representing a 66% lift in qualified organic traffic. This growth was entirely focused on non branded, industrial intent content.
More significantly, conversions more than doubled from 12 to 26, with nearly all leads coming from engineers, mine site operations, and Tier 1 industrial prospects. The high quality of these conversions resulted in major revenue opportunities, with just one or two leads delivering multi-million-dollar potential.
