When MVP Offshore approached Digital Surfer, their digital presence was in need of serious refinement. As a Philippines-based offshore staffing company servicing both Australia and the United States, they were trying to speak to two very different markets through a single .com website with no localisation, minimal SEO visibility, and a team lacking in technical or search expertise. Their site wasn’t performing, and it was holding their marketing efforts back.

Our objective was to transform their digital architecture into something scalable, effective, and simple for their internal team to manage. Together, we set clear goals:
- Create an international SEO framework that targets both US and AU users.
- Ensure users in each region see the correct content, no confusion, no misdirected traffic.
- Generate 10–15 qualified leads per month by March 2025.
- Empower MVP’s in house marketing team to manage their website content independently, without constant agency support.
The primary challenge with this campaign wasn’t the SEO itself, it was finding a solution that worked within MVP’s operational limitations. Their internal team was already committed to using WordPress and involved in content creation and updates. A traditional international strategy, such as using subdomains, separate ccTLDs (e.g., .com.au), or a headless CMS, would have been too complex and difficult for their team to manage.

Our Innovative WordPress International SEO Strategy
Digital Surfer crafted a tailored international SEO and PPC strategy that married technical precision with operational simplicity. Rather than splitting the site into multiple domains or subdomains, we created two WordPress instances under a single domain, one for the US (root domain) and one for Australia (/au/ subfolder). This provided clear content separation while preserving domain authority.
Key technical elements included:
- Hreflang implementation for en-au and en-us to help Google serve the right content based on a user’s location.
- Separate Google Search Console and GA4 properties for each site version to give granular performance data.
- Organisation schema markup with regional sub entities to reinforce geographic relevance for both markets.
To support the AU market, we launched highly targeted PPC campaigns focused on high intent keywords like “hire offshore customer support” or “outsourced finance staff.” These campaigns avoided job seeker terms (e.g. “salary”, “jobs”) through extensive negative keyword filtering. Every ad drove users to a niche landing page tailored to their industry or job function, complete with a clear CTA to “Book a Discovery Call.”
On the backend, the setup remained lean and intuitive:
- Two separate installs of WordPress under a subfolder structure to maintain domain authority.
- Each WordPress dashboard was custom designed with help links and a support ticket system.
- A simple region switcher allowed users to jump between the AU and US versions without redirects or crawler issues.

The campaign delivered across all major KPIs and then some.
By August 2025, MVP’s Australian and US websites were ranking independently in their respective search markets, with localised content showing up for region specific queries. Search engines served the correct version of the website depending on user location, eliminating confusion and ensuring a better user experience.
In terms of lead generation:
- Australia: 49 organic and 77 PPC conversions (126 total)
- United States: 150 total conversions
That’s 276 recorded leads over a 10-month period.
