About Stop Thief Security

Stop Thief Security is a family-run security screen and door company, with more than 30 years of experience in the Brisbane and Gold Coast regions. Their custom solutions come with lifetime warranty, giving homeowners confidence in their home’s security. In March 2025, they approached Digital Surfer to take over their current Google Ads campaign due a lack in trust and transparency over their existing setup.

As a business of more than 30 years, Stop Thief Security was in a position many businesses face — they were ready to go to the next level but didn’t have the strategy to support their goals. Their goals for the next year were 6-figure revenue goals in their peak season, with specific lead numbers to allow them to hire a new installer by the end of 2025. The problem was, their current ad campaigns did not have accurate conversion tracking, making results impossible to measure and their ads very difficult to scale. They set us the challenge of hitting every goal, while rebuilding their trust in a Google Ads company on the Gold Coast.

Our SEO & Paid Ads Strategy

Before implementing any strategy changes, our task was to completely deconstruct their current workflow and setup to make conversion tracking completely accurate. This involved implementing call tracking as well as repairing their form submission tracking, which measured every form as 4 conversions.

With advanced tracking in place, we then split their campaigns into generic and product-specific groups, allowing us to enhance their ad performance, while combatting the increase in cost caused by competitors heavily discounting. We also implementing a strict negative keyword list to block competitors, out-of-area searches and irrelevant services, as well as refreshed ad copy to highlight their key differences of safety, durability and decades of experience in the area.

The Results

Stop Thief Security’s growth was so fast, they had to temporarily reduce their ad budget to allow them time to hire their new installer to accommodate all the new business they were receiving. This was achieved by mid-year, well ahead of the end-of-year goal. This was achieved through:

  • 29% reduced cost per acquisition.
  • 1225% return on investment.
  • 16% above revenue goal.

They also now have a campaign that supports them in different seasons of the year, giving them consistent business, with clear transparency over their ad and their impact on their revenue growth.
