Where did we start?
This client had purchased a Gold Coast franchise of AMC Commercial Cleaning and wanted to make sure they were getting more jobs not only for themselves and their staff, but the company as a whole.
However, being a franchise, there were some restrictions as to what we could do for them and the campaign overall. This created an interesting challenge for the team to work within these constraints and bring the strategy in line with what is allowable for franchisees of this business.
What was our Local SEO strategy?
The first part of our strategy was to get pages on the company website specific to the location and services being targeted. After keyword research was completed, the content was sent to the web developer to be added to the website.
A coordinated strategy of targeted posts on the Google Business Listing was then utilised to increase local rankings for the business. After the first few months of set up, blogs supporting the initial location-optimised service pages were created and added to the website, to provide more opportunities for Google to recognise the client’s authority in the area.
This strategy allowed for the client to extend a broader reach and get more recognition in their local area.
Where is this client now?
When the campaign began in August 2020, the client’s Google Business Listing was only being recognised for 11 of their 22 keywords, and only one of those was a first-page result. In March 2021, the client’s listing was being found for 15 out of 22 keywords, with 12 of those in a page one position and three in the maps pack in search results, which is an amazing result.
The client also saw an increase in activity on their Google Business Listing, with the views on the listing improving from 719 views a month in September 2020 to 899 in February 2021. Additionally, as the new content was added, we could see the average time spent on the website improved from 3:05 minutes to 4:42 minutes as potential clients read through the pages and made a more qualified decision.
