Where did we start? 

The client has a successful pest control business on the Gold Coast and was looking to widen their net in their local area. They wanted improvements made to their Google Business Profile in order to rank on Google Maps and be found by customers searching by proximity.

What was our SEO strategy?

Initially, it was determined that the website would need additional key service pages for things such as ant control, termite control, rodent control and more in order to supplement the local SEO strategy. The Google Business Profile itself also needed to be reinvigorated, with additional services added from the new pages added to the website

It was also decided to embark on a location strategy, creating separate pages focusing on each of the clients key service areas and suburbs in order to strengthen that proximity search. Once these key locations were covered, an informational strategy was put in place, creating blogs to not only appeal to Google searchers but so that these informational posts will catch the eye via the GBP.

Once these changes were implemented, a content plan of posts was created to leverage the website content and promote these services via the Google Business Profile.

Where is this client now?

The client began their campaign in October of 2020, and since then has been going from strength to strength. 

The content being added to the website is improving the range of keywords the website is ranking for – for example, in 2020 the site was ranking for 65 keywords, and in June 2022 it is ranking organically for 434, with 92 of these are in the top 20 positions.

Additionally, the client has seen some great results from the improvements and strategy put into the Google Business Profile. Clicks to the website have increased from a 2021 average of 21 per month to 25 per month average so far in 2022 Additionally, there was a monthly average of 6.5 phone calls direct from the Profile, which lifted to 10.5 per month so far in 2022.
