Where did we start?
This client was in an interesting position, as they had been featured on the TV show Shark Tank, however had no traffic coming to their website.
Their goals were to get more traffic – and more sales – through the site so that eventually it could run without the founders day-to-day input.
What was our SEO strategy?
The first thing was adding more content to the website. This was first done through a location strategy of adding pages for a variety of locations that the client runs seminars and training in.
We also spent some time writing a longform ‘skyscraper’ to use in backlinking and marketing. The intent of this piece is to be informative and linked to from other places of authority as an expert piece on the subject matter.
Lastly, additional content was added to both the home page and about page.
Some time was also spent optimising the site in conjunction with the clients existing web developer. There were several areas that were improved for site speed and customer usability, as well as other things that, when it was all added up, was impacting the sites ranking performance.
The client also opened three additional Google Business Listings (in line with the location strategy) that were optimised for ranking in those areas.

Where is this client now?
In the six months since this client started their SEO, their organic traffic has more than doubled, from 689 sessions in October 2019 to 1280 sessions in March 2020.
In rankings, the client has gone from having the highest percentage of keywords not found by Google (compared to other pages) at 57.4% to the highest percentage of their keywords are on page two and three (compared to other pages) at 30.2% each.
Additionally, this client has seen an increase in revenue and product sales from their new locations which demonstrates that the location strategy is working.
During 2020, this client rebranded, and migrated their website to a whole new domain (which will soon be a case study of its own). Though the new website has only been live since October 2020, this client is still seeing consistently good results. In February 2020, on the old website, the client saw 1256 organic sessions, and in February 2021 the client saw 1633 organic sessions on the new website. Similarly, this client saw 327 overall goals in February 2020, and in February 2021 saw 711 goals just from organic traffic alone (907 overall).
