Earlier this year I asked Kerry and Richard at Digital Surfer to build a website for my Brisbane Business. Kerry and Richard worked hard with me to customise a website that would fit my businesses needs. Since the website went active I have achieved all my sales goals. Work opportunities have doubled. I have had to take on extra staff to fulfill orders. So a big thank you to Kerry and the team at Digital Surfer.
Where did we start?
We’ve been working with this client since early 2018, providing Local SEO and achieving great results for them.
During this process, it became clear that their current website needed a rebuild to better achieve their goals, and improve the user experience for their customers.
What was our strategy?
The first thing we did was assess what they wanted to keep from the old Squarespace website, and what needed to happen in order for the new website to excel. As part of this, the URL structure of some of the pages was updated to offer a clearer picture to both customers using the site, but also for Google to understand what each page was for.
New keyword-optimised content was also created for several of the pages to refresh these in line with the new build.
The client also wanted to add an online store to the website. We worked to add product pages that provided the details the clients of this client would need to know, such as the specs for different printers and copiers.
Where is this client now?
Since the new website has gone live, the client has seen an increase in traffic and goals completed on the website.
Previous to the web rebuild, this client was seeing 104 sessions a month, which has improved to 137 sessions in August of 2020, right after the new website went live, and then continued to increase in September 2020 to 171 sessions which is a great improvement.
Additionally, the client saw a total of 94 goals before the website was redesigned, and then saw 111 in August of 2020. This shows that there is a clear improvement in customers finding, and interacting with, the website.
In April 2021, this client continued to see these numbers as the Local SEO campaign progressed, building on this improved web design. They saw a total of 186 sessions and 99 goals in April 2021 – which while slightly lower than last month, is still a higher overall number than they were previously seeing.
