Where did we start?

This client is an electrician based on the Gold Coast who was seeing steady leads but wanted to increase the amount of enquiries they were seeing. They were looking for an effective solution that would get results fast while their other marketing strategies are being worked on.

What was our SEO strategy?

Our team recommended paid ads targeting the Google Business Listing, rather than the website. This would show the business ad at the top of the Maps Pack on the search results page, or at the top of the Google Maps results. The benefits of this are that the actions that customers can take are much more direct – they can click through to the website or call the business directly from the ad, through the Google Business Listing.

These ads are also focused on the immediate local area, and are shown primarily during the business’ listed opening hours, meaning that the business owner is less likely to be contacted by potential customers outside of their service area or opening hours.

The ad focus strategy was around the services of emergency electrician, residential electrician, commercial electrician, and other key services where customers are most likely to need quick action.

Where is this client now?

The clients’ paid ads were only run for a three-week period before the client found that they couldn’t take on any more work.

In total, the client spent a total of $295 during this period. The ads achieved 7, 420 impressions during this time – this is the number of times the ads were shown to prospective clients. From that, there were 60 clicks through to the website, resulting in numerous booked jobs for the client.

The client is currently having their website rebuilt, which will only help to increase conversions in future if they start their ad campaign up again.
